Cat Walk to End Fat Talk Model Information

    Background

What is Cat Walk to End Fat Talk?

A fashion show that embraces all body types, sizes, ethnicities, backgrounds, and personalities.

    • Started by National Tri Delta to end ‘fat talk’ and promote self-love and acceptance of diverse body shapes and sizes. Brought to UConn by SHAPE

    • Wear whatever makes you feel confident!

    • Primary purpose is to promote self-esteem and body image

      • Even though this is a fashion show to ‘end fat talk’, we are emphasizing incorporating all of UConn’s diversity to help ALL students gain confidence

      • Promoting that you do not need to let others define you by your looks

      • You define you!

    Why do we need you?

    • UConn needs you! As a model, you will help promote positive body image on campus by showing others that anyone can have confidence!

    • If others see confident students on stage with various looks, they will grow confidence that they do not need to look like others to have confidence, they just have to look like themselves!
