  • 8/31 UConn JuJutsu Club

The UConn JuJutsu club has operated on campus for nearly 40 years, inspiring students to learn and experience "the system of the harmonious mind." Through dedicated instruction, students will develop practical self defense skills while getting a solid workout two nights a week. No experience necessary to join!

Undergraduates and graduates alike are invited to participate in practices the first few weeks of the semester. Sessions begin with a warmup, and then are split between beginners and advanced belts. Each group is taught technical skills and given time to practice. At the end of the semester, those who wish may register their rank through the system and earn a higher belt!

Practices are held every Tuesday and Thursday, 7-9pm in the Hawley Armory main gym. Feel free to attend starting 8/29/17. Please bring workout clothes, flip flops, and water.

JuJutsu is also offered as a class which can be taken for credit, AH1200-003. Please contact the President, Erick Syvertsen, with any questions or if you would like more information.

We hope to see you there!
