Apply for UConn Medical Humanitarian Society's annual trip! This January, we're going down to Rio de Janeiro for two weeks of medical volunteering and cultural immersion. Applications are due Friday 6/30 at 11:59pm, apply here.
Some details about the trip: The trip has been estimated to be around $1,000 including airfare and will be for about 2 weeks during UConn's winter break. This year in Brazil, we will be attend procedures at family clinics, shadow doctors that make house calls in the less developed communities, as well as educate patients about the dangers of Dengue fever, Zyca virus, etc. On last year's trip we were able to help the community around us as well as explore the city ourselves. This is a great opportunity to explore a different part of the world while giving back to communities in need!
