  • Consulting L. American Under-Resourced Businesses

Are you interested in consulting, entrepreneurship, or Latin America?  Are you a college student that wants to be part of something that is making a real and immediate impact?  Then come join our cause!

Seventy-three percent of Latin American entrepreneurs believe their most significant barrier is a lack of resources (Stanford Social Innovation).  There are many entrepreneurs in Latin America with great ideas and products, but they often lack the resources, knowledge, or access to scale their impact.  After interning in Ecuador this past summer, 4 U.S. students started an initiative to address this.  Our organization is called Pakta Consulting, and we offer businesses and organizations in Latin America bro bono consulting.  We are based out of UConn, Princeton, Notre Dame, and Maryland.  Through partnerships with Columbia Business School and Social Entrepreneur Corps, we provide our student consultants with a training program in consulting/social entrepreneurship and offer them the unique opportunity to work on a live consulting project with a Latin American business.  All of our work is done remotely, and the time committment for students is flexible.  We currently are looking for 15 lead consultants and 30 consultants across campuses in the U.S.  Our President, Joshua Essick, is a senior at UConn studying Economics and Human Rights.  We would love to see strong UConn students join the Pakta team.  To learn more, visit our website.  To apply, please fill out the consultant application here.  The application deadline is this Friday, February 24th.
