Student organization Huskies International and Education Abroad are partnering to build a new program called HuskyMates! This unique opportunity will give you the ability to help further integrate current exchange students into the UConn community and expand your global citizen footprint. To do this, you will be paired with one or two exchange students and will be asked to participate in activities around campus while providing them with a welcoming environment. By becoming a HuskyMate, you will have an opportunity to learn about another culture while helping an exchange student learn about American culture. The relationship you build with your HuskyMate is in your hands!
If you are interested in this program, please fill out this form (Exchange Students Only) or this form (UConn Students Only) no later than Friday, February 3rd. After you complete this form, you will hear back from HuskyMates about your pairing results and you will be notified of a Kickoff Event shortly after to meet your Mate. We will be working together throughout the semester to notify you of upcoming events, ideas for how to interact with your HuskyMate, and how to make the most of your experience.
