Do you like working with people? Are you interested in Special Education? Are you interested in working with individuals with disabilities?
Campus Connections is a Community Outreach program that works with the Windham organization Camp Horizons, which serves individuals with intellectual disabilities. At Camp Horizons, we will be assisting professional staff members with facilitating various activities and lessons for the campers. Towards the end of the semester, we will come together and create our own activity/lesson as a group. We are scheduled to visit Camp Horizons on 5 Saturdays this semester: 2/11, 2/18, 2/25, 3/4, 3/25. We will be leaving campus at 9:00 am and arriving back on campus at 1:30 pm. No prior experience is needed. We are simply looking for participants who can commit to coming these Saturdays, but of course, life happens and if you need to miss a Saturday for any reason, thats OK.
