As the semester comes to a close, it’s nice to take a break and listen to some good music. As such, come to the von der Mehden Recital Hall for a night of percussionist dreams. This concert features percussion music of various moods, including a hard driving, neo-tribal groove piece, a mellow tribute to the marimba music of Mali, and percussionists hitting sawhorses with plastic tubes. The night will include the earth tones of Emmanuel Sejourne’s “Sosso-Bala”, Evan Chapman’s heart-pounding “Second Thoughts”, and more. The performance will be held at the von der Mehden Recital Hall on November 29th. General admission is free. Plenty of well-lit parking across the street
