    Can College Students be Homeless?

Homelessness and the College Student: Housing Insecurity and Access to Higher Education

Tuesday, November 29th, 4:00 to 5:30 pm, School of Business 226

Join students in Latino Studies and researchers from the Institute of Community Research’s Youth Action Hub in a discussion about homeless youth and the college campus. We will be hearing personal stories of youth that have encountered homelessness both in and outside of UConn, as well as the research the Youth Action Hub is doing to better serve homeless youth in CT. After speaking with a number of staff who work directly with students, we also hope to share recommendations for streamlining assistance to these students. Our goal is to spread awareness of youth homelessness on campus, and begin a conversation about creating policy to address the needs of students with housing insecurity.
