World Antibiotic Awareness Week is here and UConn has partnered with the CDC to get the word out about antibiotic resistance! Join us for a screening of the documentary Resistance (http://www.resistancethefilm.com/) on Wednesday, November 16, 2016, at 5:30pm in Biology/Physics Building 130 to learn about how antibiotic resistance develops and what YOU can do to help. Before the screening, Dr. Dennis Wright (UConn Chemistry) will give a short overview about the issue of antibiotic resistance, and following the film will be a Q&A session with experts Dr. Nichole Broderick (UConn MCB) and Dr. Barbara Murdoch (ECSU Biology). This event is sponsored by the UConn Small World Initiative (http://www.smallworldinitiative.org/). Attending this event counts toward Sophomore Honors (but all are welcome!). Hope to see you there!
