  • The Vision: Publish your work in the Newsletter

The Vision is looking for work to be published in its Fall 2016 publication. The Vision is a student Newsletter sponsored through the African American Cultural Center. We are looking for poems, letters, arts work such as drawings, spoken words, songs, etc. Also if you are interested in submitting videos, we are open to publishing that on our site. This is open to students, professors, and other staff members. If you are interested in publishing your work but is not a part of the UConn community, please reach out to us as well. The theme this year is, “The Struggle Continues.” We are asking individuals or groups to submit work that speaks on issues affecting marginalized groups: sexual assaults/harassments, rape culture, racism, poverty, police brutality, etc. We are flexible on the work submission so if you have anything you want to submit that could be useful to us, please do so. Although our theme is serious, your submission could be as very serious or with light humor. If you are interested and or seek for more information, please email us at Maman.Cooper@UConn.edu . Also, please submit your publication to this email with Vision Submission as your email title. We ask that submissions be done before Wednesday, November 16that 5PM.
