  • 11/3 Farewell Reception for Fleurette King

The Office for Diversity and Inclusion invites you to join us at a reception to say farewell and best wishes to Fleurette King, Director of the Rainbow Center, who will be leaving UCONN after almost 10 years to take on an exciting new role as the Assistant Vice President for Equity and Inclusion at the University of Northern Colorado.

We will deeply miss Flo’s vision, candor, humor, training expertise, advocacy and strong commitment to social justice and underrepresented and marginalized communities. She leaves a strong legacy here at UCONN, including but not limited to, Husky DOG training, Husky Safe Zone training, the Out to Lunch Lecture Series, our partnership with True Colors, and as a key facilitator of the diversity and inclusion training for employees. The Rainbow Center stands as a model for LGBTQ+ student support centers across this nation and for her leadership, this campus community is grateful.

Please stop by as you are able on Thursday, November 3 between 4:30-6:30 pm in the Rainbow Center to wish her well.  Formal remarks will occur around 4:45 pm.
