As a female underclasswoman committed to a STEM field, you have the opportunity to apply for and participate in the Women in STEM Mentoring Program.
What is WiS?
WiS is an initiative designed to support underclasswomen pursuing STEM degrees through the mentorship of their upperclasswomen peers, and we are searching for a dedicated group of interested and excited mentees to get involved! The program spans the full 2016-2017 academic year and is structured around monthly meetings organized to provide both you and your mentor with resources to flourish in your STEM fields.

If you are interested in applying please fill out the application provided here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/X5RPPN7 and send in a copy of your resume to WiSTEM@uconn.edu with the subject heading WiS Mentee Application and your name. The application is due by October 21st.
Mentee Qualifications:
•Be a current UConn undergraduate first or second year woman who will be enrolled on the Storrs campus for the entire Fall 2016/Spring 2017 academic year.
•Must have an expected major in the STEM fields.
•Must be willing to coordinate with mentor and participate in mandatory scheduled events
Due to program size, we do have a limited number of spots! Please submit your application as quickly as possible to be considered.
