  • Alternative Spring Break Trip to Oklahoma

Participants in the Oklahoma Alternative Break will have the incredible opportunity to live, learn, and serve with the Cherokee Nation in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. With the trip's focus centered on cultural preservation and rural poverty this opportunity offers the opening to learn about issues facing Native American populations and the chance to work on a team of UConn students. Past participants have built wheelchair ramps for people with disabilities, repaired homes for the elderly and participated in cultural activities such as basket weaving.
