Paving on Route 195 in Tolland and Coventry begins Monday
The Connecticut Water Company has completed the installation of water main on Route 195 between Tolland and Mansfield. The next and final step of the installation is the final paving of road, which is scheduled to begin this Monday on a portion of the road in Tolland and Coventry.
Milling and final paving will start Monday, September 12, at 6 a.m. on Route 195 in Tolland, south of Walbridge Hill Road, and continue east to Jones Crossing Road in Coventry. The work will continue uninterrupted until paving is completed Tuesday evening. There will be traffic control personnel on site to direct traffic. Please allow extra time for travel.
Final paving of other segments of routes 195 & 44 where water main was installed will get final pavement at a future date, and there are still some off road areas such as lawns and driveways that need to be restored. We expect the water main to be placed into service this fall.
