Greetings UConn community!
UCAELI, the on-campus Intensive English Program, is seeking students, faculty, and staff willing to volunteer one hour of their time each week for its Conversation Partner program. Volunteers visit our classes on Fridays from 11am-12pm and talk with English language students from all over the world. No preparation or experience is necessary as there is always an instructor in the room guiding the class through an activity, discussion topic, or craft. This program is an excellent way to learn about other cultures while providing international students inside information the UConn community and life in the U.S. The rewarding interactions make the program one of UCAELI's most popular features.
The first Conversation Partner meeting will begin on Friday, September 9th. Please contact UCAELI at the address below before Wednesday, September 7th if interested.
