  • 8/31 Music of Trinidad and Tobago

    Have you ever wanted to sing in a group that explores culture and and examines issues around social justice? Well here’s your opportunity.

    You are invited to join Earthtones, the UConn World Music Ensemble, as we delve into the music, history and unique culture of Trinidad and Tobago. Repertoire will include traditional and contemporary folk songs, calypso and soca, among other genres. The course concludes with a joint concert with the UConn Steel Pan Ensemble.

    Earthtones (MUSI 1006/FINA 1001) welcomes all students (no auditions) and meets on Wednesdays from 6:00-8:30 PM in MUSI 108. The courses fulfills 1 credit towards the CA1 Arts and Humanities requirement and can be retaken to fulfill the 3 credits.
