During the week of May 16–May 20 the UConn Police Department will be conducting training exercises on the 3rd floor and Mechanical Penthouse (5th floor) of the Homer Babbidge Library. The training will take place each day from 8am-5pm.
The drills will help prepare UConn Police personnel and surrounding law enforcement agencies to respond to a simulated “active shooter” incident. The drills are simulated and do not present a safety hazard to the participants or community members however because of the training there will be no public or staff access to the 3rd floor or Mechanical Penthouse from May 16-May 20 between 8am-5pm.
