  • 3/31 YSEALI Social Entrepreneurship Presentations

UConn's Global Training and Development Institute (GTDI) invites you to attend social entrepreneurship project presentations from participants in the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI)!

During the month of March, UConn’s GTDI has hosted 21 college student leaders from Southeast Asia at the Storrs campus to participate in a five-week program to learn about the U.S., economic development, and social entrepreneurship. The students later apply the skills learned in the program to address social/economic challenges back in their home countries: Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippians, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. YSEALI is a President Obama education/diplomatic initiative launched in 2013, https://youngsoutheastasianleaders.state.gov/about-yseali/) with aims to strengthen leadership development in areas of social entrepreneurship and economic development. The program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State.

      * Feel free to stop by the Library's Class of 1947 Room on Thursday 3/31, anytime between 9am-12:00pm, to watch the participants' social entrepreneurship project presentations (10 minutes each and you do not need to stay for all).
