  • 3/22 UConn Choir Tour Home Concert

    On Tuesday, March 22nd, at 8:00 PM, the UConn Concert Choir, Collegium Musicum and Chamber Singers will present an exciting concert of choral music from their Spring Break tour to Ireland and Germany. Throughout their tour of Europe, the choirs have performed in such landmark venues such as St. Patrick’s Cathedral and the University Church in Dublin, as well as the Holy Ghost Church in Heidelberg and the Palace Church in Mannheim. The various choirs will be performing a wide array of music, such as Psalm 81, Sing Joyfully to the Lord, by William Byrd and G.P. Palestrina, Das ist je gewißlich war by Heinrich Schutz, Bach’s Der Geist Hilft unser Schwachheit auf, the dramatic Leonardo Dreams of His Flying Machine by Eric Whitacre, Alleluia by Randall Thompson and Jake Runestad, American Sacred Harp hymn Windham, African-American spiritual Way Over in Beulah Lan’, and various others. General Admission is $10.00, admission for students and children is free. Free and well-lit parking is available across the street.
