  • 3/4 Avi Schaefer Coexistence Dinner

This week, UConn Hillel is hosting a special Friday night dinner in honor of a very special person: Avi Schaefer.

Avi was not a UConn student, but an American with a deeply rooted passion for Israel and desire to bring about peaceful change in the Middle East through open conversation. Sadly, Avi was not able to see a resolution in his tragically short life, however in his memory Hillel is hosting an annual Shabbat dinner to discuss coexistence and diversity in our lives and the lives of people around the world.

This week, we are bringing in guest speaker, Rabbi Jeremy Bruce from West Hartford to facilitate the conversation. Bring your friends or bring your neighbors, we want to make this Shabbat full of life and love.

Reform and Traditional Egalitarian Services begin at 6pm.

    Dinner is at 7pm

    On the menu this week:
    Spaghetti and Meatballs
