  • 3/3 Teale Lecture: Comedy, Economics, Climate Change

Dr. Bauman will give a talk in which he blends jokes about economics and politics with news from the carbon pricing front, especially the CarbonWA.org revenue-neutral carbon tax campaign that is heading for the ballot in Washington State. Dr. Bauman is an environmental economist and "stand-up economist" who co-authored Tax Shift with Alan Durning of Sightline Institute, which helped inspire the revenue-neutral carbon tax in British Columbia. He also co-authored The Cartoon Introduction to Climate Change and the two-volume Cartoon Introduction to Economics with Grady Klein.
