UConn Department of Music presents a collaborative lecture recital: "Operatic Rulers and Royalty." UCONN's own Dr Glenn Stanley will give an introduction and provide commentary, Assistant Professor Rod Nelman (Bass-Baritone) and Guest Artist Anna Vikre (Soprano) will sing with Dr. David Ballena at the piano. They will perform arias by Wagner, Bellini, Verdi, and Donizetti. The program will end with Gershwin's duet "Bess you is my woman now" from Porgy and Bess. Admission for this event is free. Free parking will also be available in the lot immediately adjacent to von der Mehden. We hope to see you there!
