Applications are being accepted for the 2016 Summer Undergraduate Research Fund (SURF) Awards. The SURF program supports full-time UConn undergraduates in summer research or creative projects. These competitive awards are available to students in all majors and at all UConn campuses.
All student applicants and their faculty mentors are strongly encouraged to review the SURF Application Outline available on the SURF page of the Office of Undergraduate Research website. The outline provides detailed information about all of the required elements of the SURF application. As the display logic of the application may prevent you from going back to modify prior responses, we recommend that you use the application outline to prepare all necessary responses before initiating an online application.
We also encourage you to review the budget policies, evaluation rubric, and tips on preparing a successful application. In addition, we have prepared an information sheet for faculty recommenders for you to provide to those professors writing letters on your behalf.
