  • Alternative Break in DC

The Washington D.C. Alternative Break will take place during Spring Break week, March 12-20, 2016. The trip is focused on Homelessness/Urban Poverty and Political Action. The trip will include direct service and emphasize education and advocacy. In past years, we have worked with organizations focusing on related issues to urban poverty including food security, affordable housing, legal services, and education. Possible community partners include the Father McKenna Center, Martha's Table, Kid Power, the Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless, and the Capital Area Food Bank.

    Everyone is welcome to apply!

Application is available on the Community Outreach website at: http://communityoutreach.uconn.edu/alternative-break-application/

Applications are due TOMORROW at noon!
