  • 10/27 Creative Sustenance: Danielle Chapman to Read

The reading will take place at 6:00 pm in the UConn Storrs Center Co-op at 1 Royce Circle.

Danielle Chapman is a well-renowned poet and essayist. She currently lectures in English at Yale University. She will read from her debut book of poems, Delinquent Palaces (2015). Her work has received praise from multiple colleagues, such as poet Ange Mlinko, who calls Chapman’s poetry “brilliant, mysterious, and impetuous in its quest for intensity.”

Chapman’s writing touches on her various topics of interest including faith and cultural criticism through mediums of personal essay, poetry, and memoir.

This event is a benefit for the Covenant Soup Kitchen in Willimantic, Connecticut. Heather Clark, Director of the Covenant Soup Kitchen, will attend the reading as a representative of the organization to speak on its behalf.  Audience members are invited to make a donation after the reading.
