It is with great sadness that we share with you the passing of Robert Keers. Robert A. Keers, a senior from Wilton, Connecticut passed away on Monday, September 28, 2015.
Robbie, a finance major, was a member of Kappa Sigma and the UConn Finance Society. He is described by his friends as charismatic and energetic.
Our Counseling and Mental Health Services (CMHS) is available to provide support to the community at this time of loss. CMHS office hours are 8:30 -4:30 M-F and they are located on Arjona 4th floor. There is also a counselor on-call after hours who can be reached by calling 860-486-4705. Students are encouraged to either walk in during office hours or to please call to schedule an appointment.
CMHS will also offer a special open group to any student impacted by this tragedy. The group will meet on Thursday, October 1st at 3:30 p.m. Students who would like to attend should go to Arjona 437. In addition, information about dealing with grief is located the on the CMHS website.
The Dean of Students Office is also resource for students. You may make an appointment by calling 860-486-3426 or stop in during walk-in hours Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 9:30-11:30 and 1:30-3:30, and Tuesday 9:30-11:30 will be working with interested students in planning a UConn campus memorial service for Robbie. Planning will begin after the funeral.
