The documentary, Fire in the Blood, will be shown. It tells the story of how Western pharmaceutical companies
and governments actively denied access to low-cost AIDS drugs for the countries of Africa and the global south after
1996- causing over ten million unnecessary deaths. The film also shows how a courageous group of activists and
community organizers came together to help stop “the Crime of the Century,” saving millions of lives worldwide.
A lively and interactive film discussion with local and national HIV/AIDS advocates and activists will follow the film
