    Would you like to…

educate yourself, individuals, and groups about human rights?

conduct training, seminars, and workshops to inform people about issues related to rights in particular

    areas or environments?

Consider becoming a UNESCO Student Ambassador for Human Rights

The UNESCO Student Ambassadors for Human Rights (SAHR) program will hold a meeting on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at 6:00 pm in Gentry 131. The United Nations Education, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Student Ambassadors for Human Rights program includes dynamic students from across all disciplines who are interested in furthering their knowledge and involvement in human rights issues in America and around the world.  If you can’t make it on 2/11, you can locate our application and further information on the work of the UNESCO Chair at http://www.unescochair.uconn.edu/. Or please contact the Program Coordinator, Megan Gunderson, or come by the UNESCO Office any time during business hours for more information. We are located in the Dodd Center—Room 106.

Please keep in my mind that by becoming a Student Ambassador, you can be a part of:

    • The spring trip to an NGO in Boston
    • The planning of our Visualizing Human Rights Project & Documentary Film Screening of Blood Colton
    • Community outreach to local schools
    • Themed weekly meetings with monthly guest speakers that emphasize collaboration and new approaches, and much more!
