Cru at UConn is organizing an alternative spring break trip to Philadelphia, PA and volunteering with "The Philadelphia Project."
We will be having a (brief!) informational meeting, Wednesday, December 3rd, 8-8:30 pm in Student Union Room 303.
Please join us at the meeting to learn more about the trip, and meet others who might be going too!
Highlights of the trip:
- Home improvement projects for low-income, single-parent or elderly homes
- Volunteer with K-6 afterschool program, "Fuel For School" or preschool
- "Day In Philly" Sunday afternoon, explore Philly and get Philly cheesesteaks together!
- Meet other UConn students and build lasting friendships!!
Date: Friday, March 13 - Wednesday, March 18th, 2014 (5 nights, 4 days left of break at home!)
Cost: ~$300 (includes transportation, lodging and food, except for the "Day In Philly")
