  • 11/13 Opening Reception for Libraries' Art Exhibits

    The UConn Libraries cordially invite the campus community to the opening reception for its new art exhibits on Thursday, November 13 from 4 to 6 p.m. in Homer Babbidge Library.  The featured artists include three faculty members from Art & Art History:  Cora Lynn Deibler, Alison Paul, and Janet Pritchard.  Also included is work by Liviu Cupceancu of Tolland, CT.

     

    Deibler showcases her graphic novel Anatole Deibler: The Tale of Monsieur de Paris about the most famous French executioner of all time.

     

    Paul, who writes and illustrates children's books for Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, exhibits work from her first book, THE CROW (A Not So Scary Story), a tale inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's poem The Raven.  

     

    Pritchard examines the relationship between nature and culture in her photographic project, Yellowstone Dream: An American Love Story

     

    Cupceancu exhibits his surreal acrylics, abstract oils, and wood sculpture.
