Lara Vapnyar Fiction Reading

Lara Vapnyar emigrated from Russia to New York in 1994 and began publishing short stories in English in 2002. Lara Vapnyar is the acclaimed author of There Are Jews in My House, Broccoli and Other Tales of Food and Love, Memoirs of a Muse, and The Scent of Pine. Her stories have been published in The New Yorker, Harper's Magazine, and elsewhere.
The reading will be followed by an informal conversation about fiction writing and Russian literature.
