Hunger is a persistent issue that affects children all around the world. What is even more significant is that hunger is a problem lurking in our own backyard, but we want to change that.
On November 9th, UConn's Kappa Phi Lambda, North Area Council, Pi Delta Psi, and Vietnamese Student Association
will be hosting a food-packaging event called Huskies Fight Hunger in the
Greer Field House. This event is
in partnership with Feeding Children Everywhere, a social charity that empowers and mobilizes people to assemble healthy meals for hungry children. This is the third time Huskies Fight Hunger will be brought to UConn. Last year, we raised over $5,000 and packaged over 20,000 meals! One unique aspect of this project and Feeding Children Everywhere is that just $1 can provide four meals. These meals are healthy and provide the essential nutrients that any family would need to support a sustainable life.
