Join 15-40 Connection UConn Chapter as we raise cancer awareness by welcoming speakers from the National 15-40 Connection Organization. The national organization of 15-40 Connection has a Speaker's Bureau made up of people who were diagnosed with cancers of all types between the years of 15 and 40 years old.
They will be discussing the purpose and motive of our organization, which is to raise cancer awareness specifically for the age range of 15-40. Cancer survival rates have not increased for this range since the 70s, so being on a college campus and majority of us being in this range, we need to break the silence and get the conversation started! With this, we will stress the importance of early cancer detection and self-empowerment.
Admission is free of charge and all are welcome to come. Prior to the show, we will be selling our famous "Check Yourself" tanks. We will be accepting cash and checks.
