The Graduate School and the Office of National Scholarships and Fellowships will be hosting a series of workshops focused on applying for graduate funding opportunities in STEM fields. Graduate STEM Fellowships General Information Session (Tuesday, September 2nd, noon) Whetten 200
The focus of this workshop is on applying to and winning prestigious fellowships such as the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship program (http://www.nsfgrfp.org/), the National Defense Science and Engineering Fellowship (http://ndseg.asee.org/), Hertz Foundation Physical, Biological and Engineering Sciences Fellowship (http://www.hertzfoundation.org/).
The workshops will help students understand the application components; will provide tips on how to best address NSF selection criteria of “intellectual merit” and “broader impacts.”

This session will outline a plan to get your fellowship application done. There will be two follow-up peer review sessions that will be scheduled based on participant interest and disciplines.
