    Graduate Assistant Position at the Human Rights Institute

    The Human Rights Institute (HRI) at the University of Connecticut seeks to fill a full-time (20 hours/week) Graduate Assistant position for the 2014-2015 academic year.

    We are looking to fill the position of the Undergraduate Liaison.  The Undergraduate Liaison will support the Director of Human Rights Undergraduate Education and the HRI Program Administrator in the following ways: advise students pursuing a minor/major in human rights and work with student to complete the proper paperwork, guide students through the internship process and facilitating the Internship Seminar course, inform students on internship and funding opportunities, as well as the available Human Rights Scholarships, maintain and update list of current students, major and minor brochures, plans of study, and website to be consistent with the current course catalog, and assist in the planning and implementation of programming and outreach activities for our majors and minors.

    Applicants should have a strong interest in human rights, high level of organizational skill, and must be currently enrolled full time in a MA/PhD program at the University of Connecticut, with at least 2 years left in their program. We have a strong preference for candidates that have experience advising undergraduate students.
