    Kids Science & Engineer Too (KASET) Early Bird Deadline Ends June 7th

    This summer, children entering grades 5 – 10 can take the following week-long workshops:

     

    Space is limited

    • Marine Explorers (2 three-day sessions: 6/30 – 7/2 or 7/7 – 7/9) 8 Spots Left
    • Space Astronomy (7/7 – 7/11) 10 Spots Left
    • Explore Your Physical World (7/14 – 7/18) 15 Spots Left
    • ·         Junior Engineers (7/14 – 7/18) FULL
    • Zoom! Crash! Instant Replay! (2 sessions: 7/21 – 7/25  7 Spots Left or 7/28 - 8/1 15 Spots left)
    • Biomedical Engineering (7/21 – 7/25) 6 Spots Left
    • Magnificent Microbes (7/21- 7/25)- 11 Spots left
    • Chemistry: Light, Color, Heat (7/28 – 8/1) – 8 Spots Left
    • Archaeology Field School for Kids (7/7 -7/11) – 4 Spots left

    Cost: Each workshop costs $185. All materials and lab fees are included.

    Discounts:

    • If you register by June 7th, the individual workshop cost is $165.
    • If a child registers for more than one workshop, you will receive a 10% discount.
    • If you register more than one child in a family, you will receive a 10% discount.

    To Register by Mail: Go to www.KASET.uconn.edu. Print out the registration form in the brochure and mail it in with your payment. (It must be postmarked by June 7, 2014, to be eligible for the $165 workshop price.)

    The expansion of the KASET program is part of a university-wide STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) development initiative called Next Generation Connecticut (NextGenCT). One goal of the initiative is to boost enrollment in the STEM disciplines at UConn to meet future state workforce needs.
