  • Become a Mentor for First Year Students of Hillel

Interested in becoming a mentor for incoming students? Becoming a part of the First Year Students of Hillel (FYSH) program is a great way to get involved with UConn Hillel and make a difference for a new student. Apply to be a FYSH Mentor or FYSH Family Leader and help new students find a connection within our Hillel community! Each mentor is paired with incoming students with shared interests and mentor-mentee match ups are grouped into FYSH families with one family leader. Mentors contact their FYSHies over the summer, welcome them to campus in the fall, go to the Welcome Back BBQ together, plan events for their FYSH families, and attend events for the entire FYSH community.  E-mail Rebecca Himmelstein at rebecca.himmelstein@uconn.edu for more information or to obtain an application. Applications are due by Monday, April 28th by e-mailing them to Rebecca Himmelstein.
