  • 4/22 "The Importance of Having a Patent Strategy"

    The UConn School of Law Intellectual Property and Entrepreneurship Law Clinic together with the UConn School of Business Connecticut Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation cordially invites you to attend a presentation and panel discussion on "The Importance of Having a Patent Strategy" to be held at the law school campus on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at 5:30 p.m. The presentation and panel discussion will take place in the William R. Davis Courtroom, William F. Starr Hall, 45 Elizabeth Street, Hartford, CT  06105, followed by dinner in the Starr Reading Room.

    The event will include a lively discussion about the value of having a patent strategy from the varying perspectives of in-house counsel, patent litigation counsel and the small entrepreneur.  The distinguished panelists will include: Mark Farber , founder of the law firm Farber, LLC and former Vice President and General Counsel for the Surgical Devices business unit of Covidien; Mark J. Abate, litigation partner in the law firm Goodwin Procter LLC; and Christopher Levesque, a biotech entrepreneur and Executive Director and Associate Professor-in-Residence, UConn School of Business Connecticut Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. Moderating the event will be Joseph A. DeGirolamo, Director of the Intellectual Property and Entrepreneurship Law Clinic and Assistant Clinical Professor of Law.
