At City Year, we are working to bridge the gap in high-poverty communities between the support the students in the communities actually need, and what their schools are designed to provide. In doing so, we are helping to increase graduation rates across the country, and changing the lives of the students we serve. City Year Corps Members serve each year in struggling, under-resourced schools as tutors, role models, and mentors to help our students thrive and continue to stay in school and on track to graduate.
Our last application deadline is coming up on April 30th and while we have already had a number of UConn students apply, we would love to see more Huskies serving in our schools! We will be having our next info session on April 6th at 6:30 PM in Rowe Rm 134.
