Alternative Spring Break (ASB) – UConn Students Report to the Campus Community

    Monday, April 7, 2014

    6:30 pm – 8:30 pm

    Storrs Hall, School of Nursing

    Widmer Wing (Room 001)

You are invited to attend the UConn Alternative Spring Break Campus Community Report to learn about the student experiences and see the personal growth that results when our UConn students participate in Alternative Spring Break trips.  It is open to the community and will provide attendees time for informal conversation with the students following the formal presentations. Community Outreach, the Honors Program, EcoHouse and UConn Fraternity & Sorority Life are the groups presenting.

UConn’s Alternative Spring Break offers students the opportunity to productively experience other communities and cultures.  These breaks provide a full immersive experience in the population, culture, and social issue that each trip focuses on.  During and after the trip, participants collectively and individually reflect upon what happened and their personal experiences. Four student groups will share their Alternative Spring Break experiences with stories, pictures, journals and most assuredly great reflection.
