  • 3/26 Contaminated Without Consent

Did you know that until 2013, Johnson and Johnson's Baby Shampoo had formaldehyde, a known carcinogen and embalming fluid, in it? Crazy but true. There are tens of thousands of chemicals in everyday household products like soaps, deodorant, and plastic wares that have not been proven safe for humans. UConnPIRG and the Coalition for a Safe and Healthy CT is leading the effort to educate students and citizens about this issue with our Contaminated Without Consent Movie Night, at 7:00pm this Wednesday, 3/26, in the Konover Auditorium. We'll be showing a short movie on the issue ("Contaminated Without Consent") and following up with a discussion led by a panel of experts. This event is part of our campaign to pass a law that would give the state government the ability to screen for potentially toxic chemicals. So come educate yourself about health risks and be part of the effort to protect your fellow citizens, Wednesday, 3/26, at 7:00 in the Konover Auditorium!
