Dust off your flyest kicks & start practicing, it's that time of year again, time for DG Anchorslam 2014!
Anchorslam is a 3 v. 3 basketball tournament. Each team can have a minimum of 3 players with a maximum of 2 additional substitutes. All proceeds go to benefit our philanthropy, Service for Sight.
This year the tournament will be on Sunday, March 30. Check-in for teams is at 12 PM and the tournament starts promptly at 1 PM.
The tournament will be held at none other than the prestigious Towers Basketball courts.
The cost to enter is $50 for the first team, $25 for each additional team.
Even if you're not athletically inclined, you should definitely make an appearance. There will be free food for those of you whose preferred sport is eating, and giveaways from brands like The Frat Collection. DJ Tyler Rich will also be spinning tracks all day long.
We will also be holding a raffle for a $50 gift card from The Frat Collection among other things. We are asking that people donate items to our philanthropy, Service for Sight, in order to be entered into the raffle. For example, acceptable donations are eyeglasses, money donations, and items that can be donated to Fidelco seeing-eye dogs(dog treats, toys, tennis balls, collars, bones, etc.)
This tournament is open to all UConn students.
