Are you looking for an opportunity to get real experience and make a difference in the lives of others and get involved in the community? Meet amazing new people and make lifetime friends? Build your resume? If you answered yes to any of these questions then Urban Semester Program is perfect for you. The Urban Semester Program offers students a tremendous opportunity for service learning and public service in Hartford, CT. While living in a safe apartment in Hartford, student interns learn and work in the heart of the city's human services, government agencies, community and non-profit organizations and take two classes on urban issues. The program takes place in the Fall and Spring semesters and is worth up to 15 credits.

Urban Semester is housed in the Study Abroad Office, CUE 117. You can visit the Study Abroad office to talk to a past participant of the program for more information and to learn how to apply. You can also visit the Study Abroad website and look up "Urban Semester" under programs.
