  • 3/7 Paid Summer Farmer Opportunity

Looking for a summer job? Well look no further! Spring Valley Student Farm, located right off of Route 32 in Mansfield, CT, is looking for a student interested in being a farmer for the summer. Starting in May and ending in August, the student will play in the dirt, harvest and sell vegetables, take care of chickens, and if interested learn how to be a beekeeper! This job allows you to spend the whole day outside alongside other student farmers. No experience in farming is required; however a love of being outside and getting dirty is a must! Throughout the summer you will have the opportunity to develop relationships with co-farmers, be able to eat fresh food daily, and experiment with different ways of food preparation such as pickling, canning, or creating fun new recipes! If you do not live in the area don't worry! Spring Valley offers a room in a cozy small house right on the farm for a reduced rent.

If you are interested in applying make sure to get our application in by March 7th or if you have questions and want to learn more about what we do, check us out on Facebook or follow us on our blog at http://springvalleyfarm.blogspot.com/. Hope to see you this summer!
