    Subjects Wanted for a Research Study

    Study Title: The Effects of Beetroot Supplementation on Skeletal Muscle Efficiency During Resistance Exercise

    The purpose of this study is to examine the extent beetroot supplementation has on skeletal muscle performance during a dynamic, multi-joint resistance exercise.  

    The total time commitment for the research study is approximately 6 hours. 

    Subjects who complete the research study will be compensated $100.00. 

    All testing will take place in the Human Performance Lab in Gampel Pavilion on the UConn Storrs campus.

    To qualify for the research study, subjects must:  
    • Be male, between the ages of 18-35 
    • Have been resistance training 2-3 times per week for the last 6 months
    • Regularly incorporate back squats into your resistance training workouts
    • Free of lower body and back / spine injuries
    • Not be allergic to any ingredients in the supplement.
    • Other eligibility conditions must also be met.
