    2 ONLINE COURSES for students who need to fulfill a GenEd requirement, move forward in their academic plan or just take an online class this Summer.

    Spanish 1020: Intersections of Art, Fashion, Film and Music in modern Spain

    Taught online in English. Fulfills CA-1 and CA-4 Gen Ed. 

    An intensive 3 weeks online course in MAY. 3 credits.

    Dates: May 11-29.

    Description: Critical overview of the works of Spanish film directors, artists, and designers and the struggle to define modern Spain. Topics may include personal and collective identity, national unity and diversity, youth culture in Spain and in the U.S., high versus low culture, the local and the global. CA 1. CA 4-INT.

     

     

     Spanish 3232: Literature of Crisis in Modern Spain.

     

    Taught Online in Spanish. Fulfills CA-1 and Spanish major requirements (Group B or C)

    Dates online: 1 June-2 July. SS1

    An intensive 4 weeks online course. 3 credits.

    Pre-requisite: Span 3178 or instructor permission

     

    Description: Study of selected plays and short fiction reflecting the clash between tradition and progress and reflecting on the idea of crisis in twentieth-century Spain. CA 1.
