Community Outreach is seeking someone with an interest in developing leadership skills while doing community service in the social services field.
The position is a Program Director role through Community Outreach to work with the Holy Family Shelter in Willimantic.
The program focuses on supporting children who are staying in this women’s and children's shelter. Volunteers serving at the shelter provide after school activities for children of all ages at the shelter, typically working directly with the children, but parents are also welcome to join in. If there are no children at the shelter, volunteers help with other projects to aid shelter staff.
The Program Director is responsible for the recruitment and support of participants with guidance from Community Outreach Staff. The Program Director will be a student leader with Community Outreach and is expected to participate in Community Outreach training, professional development, and other activities.
