  • 4/22 UConn@COP25 Climate Change Cafe

    Date: April 22nd, 4:00pm - 6:30pm

    Location: WebEx

Description: In December 2019, a cohort of UConn students, faculty and staff traveled to Madrid, Spain as a part of the UConn@COP25 Fellowship Program to attend the annual UN Conference of the Parties (COP) climate change conference. This weeklong experience exposes students to world leaders, climate scientists, and students from all over the world interested in learning about climate change and its various global impacts. The Office of Sustainability will be hosting its annual Climate Change Café where fellows share their experience and perspectives on climate change with the UConn community.  The online event will also feature keynote presentations from Dr. Eric Fine (Yale Program on Climate Change Program Manager) and Dr. Scott Wallace (UConn Journalism Professor and National Geographic Explorer) that address climate change communication issues and solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in global politics, climate change, and the UConn@COP program to learn more about these topics and how they can be part of the solution.
