    • Feel Good Fridays

      • Since UConn has moved to online learning for the remainder of the Spring 2020 semester, UConn Student Health and Wellness wants to provide a space for students to gather and connect although we are not on campus together. One of the ways we thought we could come together was with a Friday chat we are calling Feel Good Fridays. Each Friday for the rest of the semester, we will post a prompt for our community to gather and discuss. This is a place for you to share what is going on for you, seek support, and to provide support for your fellow Huskies. This group is for UConn students, staff, faculty, and alumni.

      • Join us at, bit.ly/FacebookFGF

    • All Recovery meetings

      • Wednesday and Friday at 12 noon EST through the end of the semester.

    • Recovery Ally Training

      • Recovery Ally training has gone virtual! Through an interactive 2 hour session, the Recovery Ally Training program exists to expand awareness, sensitivity and support to any individual on the University of Connecticut campuses in (or seeking) recovery from substance use disorders.

      • To register: https://urc.uconn.edu/recovery-ally-training/

    • The BASICS and MAPP Programs

      • BASICS (alcohol focused) and MAPP (marijuana focused) provide a supportive environment in which a student meets individually with a trained facilitator to explore their risk of experiencing substance-related harms and plan to make changes.  These programs consist of two sessions, scheduled two weeks apart.

      • To schedule a BASICS or MAPP appointment, please visit your student health portal and select Health Promotion under Type of Service.

    • Personalized Assessments:

      • Two online assessment tools continue to be available to members of the UConn community.  These offer participants an opportunity to receive personalized feedback about substance use, on their own convenience. For students interested in making changes to their substance use, our team recommends completion of the BASICS (alcohol focused) or MAPP (marijuana focused) program to receive more individualized, in-person support in conjunction with use of these assessment tools.
