Undergraduate Student Volunteers Wanted for a Research Study

Are you an undergraduate student at UConn Storrs who has experienced the death of someone close to you (e.g., family member or friend) in the past 12 months?

If so, you are invited to participate in a study of the ways in which young adults think, feel, and behave following the stressful loss of a loved one. We are interested in learning about how your mood and sleep change over time so that we may better design interventions for other students who are going through the loss of a loved one.

This study consists of 4 parts. Eligible participants schedule an hour-long appointment to come into our lab and complete a brief computer task and online survey. After this in-person visit, participants will complete three shorter (<30 minutes) surveys online every 3 weeks. Participation in this study will last for approximately 9 weeks. Participants will receive $6 for the study visit ($4 for the computer task and $2 for completing a survey), plus an additional $2 for completing each of the three follow-up surveys (for a possible total of $12, sent via Amazon.com gift card). After completing each survey, you will also have the option to provide your email address for entry in a raffle to win a $50 Amazon.com gift card. You may be entered in this raffle up to 4 times, once for each survey completed.
